Hook Road Arena Car Boot Sale
October is traditionally the end of the car boot calendar and today another of my faves held it's season finale on a gloriously crisp and sunny Autumnal morning.
The perfect Autumnal morning spent sifting for treasure in a field in the middle of nowhere.
My friend and I were up and at ’em at 5am this morning ready for the last boot fair at Hook Road Arena for the year. It was rained off last week so this was a date added to the schedule at the last minute so I was a bit worried we’d rock up to an empty field. A bus and train journey later and we were stood in the beautiful morning sun surrounded by booty. Hurrah.
Homemade tarts for breakfast, not just the normal boot sale burgers
Before we staggered back to East London with almost too much loot to carry we treated ourselves to a homemade raspberry tart washed down with a cup of tea. The organisers of the fair say they’re currently looking for a Winter venue, so hopefully we don’t have to wait until next Spring to return.
