The ‘big idea’ behind Thrift-ola is that it should feel like a curated flea market brought to the comfort of your cosy armchair. So whilst you might not have to get up at silly o’clock and trawl through tat to hopefully find some treasure, I still want you to feel the excitement of delving through a wide range of fun and unexpected vintage finds, not knowing what you might discover. I want you to feel the thrill of the thrift but in a much more convenient way. With this in mind, I’m going to change the way I add my finds to the online shoppe for the month of November as a mini experiment.

Every day I’m going to add nine new finds to the online shoppe spanning a variety of categories. Each day there will be a different theme but the goods will be a never ending variety of vintage from an every day useful object to that once in a lifetime super special treat. I’m hoping this new way of listing my finds will be a lot more exciting for all of you! Today’s theme is Candy and you can sift through starburst tea plates, a harlequin 50s frock, 80s animal party invitations, a 60s seaside swimsuit, a pink ceramic apple decoration, kids aran cardigan, happy lamb planter, a 1974 Pink Annual and a pair of embroidered pillow cases. If you’re a fan of the palm springs 50s palette like me then hopefully you might find something you like today!
The swimsuit and dress are fabulous. I love the big statement pockets on the dress, and the colour. Definitely no wall flower! Laura x
