The Big Feastival

When the Shoreditch Sisters asked Thrift-ola to set up shoppe in their WI tent at the first ever Big Feastival how could I say no?

I think I’ve been quite vocal about Thrift-ola not taking part in any events this summer as I try to concentrate on sourcing stock and running the website. Towards the end of LLROK we were doing a couple of events every month from fetes at the V&A and Somerset House to pop-up tea shoppes in vintage and craft fairs. They were so much fun, but also a lot of hard work which for a small business can sometimes take you away from working on the more key elements. HOWEVER, I have made one exception this summer and that’s for my dear gal-pals the Shoreditch Sisters who I did my first event with back in 2006 when they were Viva Cake. They’re hosting a big ol’ marquee at Jamie Oliver’s first ever Big Feastival and they have so many fun things happening in it including Lucy in Disguise, the Beehive Bakery, WAH nails, musical bingo, urban cross stitch, Marawa the hula hooping queen and more. Visit the website here and if you’re in London town do pop by and say hi! I can’t wait to eat, drink, craft and be merry…
