Last year I freelanced for Hemingway Design and we spent 8 months curating the Queens Diamond Jubilee Festival where one very exciting part was a Classic Carboot Sale. I’m excited to tell you all that the team are now organising this as a stand alone event and it takes place next Saturday along the banks of the river Thames.
Over 100 classic cars will line up between Queen’s Walk, Hunderford Bridge and Jubilee Gardens. Traders will assemble the finest vintage fashion, homewares and pop culture memorabilia, operating from the boot of their vintage vehicle of the basket of their classic bicycle. HOW EXCITING!

It’s been a whirlwind of wrapping, packing ‘n shipping out vintage goodies since I got back from our New Year’s break on Monday. There are still 50 or so amazing vintage bargains to be snagged though so have a sift through and see if there’s something you like. I’ll be completely spring cleaning the online shoppe next week and all current stock will be removed. If you want to pick up a few things I may even do you a deal. You can tweet, facebook or email leona@thrift-ola.com for some haggling fun!

I was up at 5am this morning, not to go out hunting, but to begin the task of reducing all the vintage swag! The sale is for everyone who couldn’t make it to my yard sale last week and also to clear space in my teeny tiny stock room for all the exciting new finds I’ll begin to collect on my thrifting trip this weekend. The highlight of 2012 for Thrift-ola was most certainly creating our first ever handmade original, Lola. Lola is the perfect way to display your favourite frock and is hand printed in London. We launched her in November and we’ve nearly sold though the first print run. We have a few left and in true January spirit the remaining few are just £15 (from £30) and will stay at this ace price for 7 days only. Grab your Lola here!
