Regular Thrift-ola shoppers will know I have a fully overblown obsession with all things Disney so when Nancy Mc posted on Instagram about her Disney eBay sale I’ve never looked up a seller so quickly before. Not one to be greedy though, I thought it only right that I share the good news with my fellow thrifters as I can’t bid on all 19 items, can I? Every item has a starting price of 99p, my kinda sale, and the goods can be found here. I will be keeping a seriously keen eye on this outstanding vintage Mickey ‘n Minnie cardigan. Phwoar!

Super colourful stall full of 1950s and 1960s treasures.
We arrived around lunchtime and our tummies were rumbling so we headed straight to the food area to fuel up before the mega trawl. There was a superb selection of food trucks from Annie Mac’s mac ‘n cheese to Bob’s Lobster arranged around a dazzling display of vintage vehicles from 1950s cadillacs to 1960s bubble cars. Drinks were served from a Routemaster bus which housed the DJ in the open top deck and the scene was set for a fantastic afternoon of thrifting, dancing, eating and drinking! Continue reading »

Colourful vintage fun from the flea in Amsterdam!
One of my regular buying haunts is one of the biggest flea markets in Europe, held in a gigantic old shipping warehouse just a short ferry ride from Centraal station in Amsterdam. Once a month I hop aboard a sleeper coach on a Friday night with an empty suitcase and wake up on the Saturday morning ready to tackle over 700 stalls of thrift. Continue reading »

All new vintage in the shoppe today!
It’s been the sunniest day in a long time in the Thrift-ola photo studio today as I snapped my tutti frutti vintage and most colourful thrifted finds. I also decided to price stuff at super nice January friendly prices which means nearly everything is £5 and the typewriter is only £30 – I normally price them around £45 as they’re difficult to find and so heavy to carry I usually can’t buy anything else on the same trip as I can’t carry anything else! But hey-ho, we’re 3 weeks into a 5 week month and most folk got paid before Christmas so it’s a double shot of sunny vibes on Thrift-ola today. Hooray!
